Responsibilities
- Implement the category management strategy supported by optimal sourcing and procurement strategies
- Actively manage and enhance key supplier relationships
- Actively engage in sourcing projects and oversee project execution from a team of analysts
- Mitigate overall business risk
- Drive process standardization and financial transparency
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Work closely with executive level, functional management to develop, implement and communicate the procurement category management strategy while adeptly managing the existing business infrastructure
- Analyze current spend and the supply base, analyze supply markets and market trends, and identify and understand key cost drivers
- Develop and implement optimal sourcing and procurement strategies, including Request-for-information (RFI), Request-for-proposal (RFP), eAuction, benchmarking, and direct negotiation
- Collaborate with the back office non-merchandise procurement team and internal stakeholders to identify and anticipate their requirements
- Lead the development and enhancement of key supplier relationships by executing supplier relationship management activities, including implementation of key metrics and scorecards to measure supplier compliance and sustain/improve quality
- Drive greater process adherence and understanding, as well as financial transparency across the business
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- MBA (Preferred), CPM/CPSM (Preferred)
- Supply Chain, Economics, Finance, or related Business Field
- 7-10 years of experience in Non-merchandise/Indirect sourcing expertise with a focus on Technology & eCommerce categories
- Demonstrated experience using sourcing and procurement tools and technology
- Retail experience is a plus
- MBA (Preferred), CPM/CPSM (Preferred)
- Familiarity with ERP systems, Procurement Platforms (such as Ariba, Coupa, Zycus or equivalents), and Spend Visibility / Data Visualization tools
- Strong communication and presentation skills and a comfort around executive management
- Expertise in spend data analytics
- Strong sourcing and procurement knowledge with pragmatism to manage expectations
- Strong negotiation and project management skills
- Knowledge of legal contract terminology and conditions
- High degree of category knowledge
