Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement category strategies for technology and digital services, optimizing cost, service quality, innovation, and supplier performance.
- Lead sourcing initiatives across technology categories, including application development, software engineering services, managed services, cloud solutions, infrastructure support, cybersecurity, and professional technology services.
- Partner closely with Engineering, Product, IT, Security, Legal, Finance, and business leaders to align sourcing strategies with business objectives and technology roadmaps.
- Manage the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle, including market assessments, supplier identification, RFI/RFP processes, negotiations, contracting, and supplier onboarding.
- Negotiate complex technology, software, SaaS, cloud, technology services, statements of work (SOWs), master services agreements (MSAs), and licensing agreements.
- Support sourcing engagements for application development, deployment, implementation, maintenance, and production support initiatives.
- Evaluate emerging technology providers and identify opportunities to leverage innovation, automation, and AI-enabled solutions.
- Partner with Legal and Information Security teams to address data privacy, cybersecurity, intellectual property, and regulatory requirements in technology contracts.
- Monitor supplier performance through established KPIs, service-level agreements (SLAs), and governance processes.
- Drive supplier consolidation, process improvement, and cost savings initiatives while mitigating operational and vendor risks.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management with a focus on technology and digital services.
- Demonstrated experience sourcing and negotiating technology services, including application development, deployment, implementation, maintenance, production support, and managed services engagements.
- Experience supporting technology organizations and partnering with Engineering, Product, IT, Infrastructure, Security, and Digital Transformation teams.
- Experience negotiating software, SaaS, cloud, technology services, statements of work (SOWs), master services agreements (MSAs), and licensing agreements.
- Exposure to Artificial Intelligence and emerging technology solutions from a sourcing, procurement, vendor management, or business implementation perspective.
- Experience reviewing, negotiating, or supporting AI-related contracts, including considerations around data usage, intellectual property, privacy, security, compliance, and responsible AI practices.
- Demonstrated understanding and practical use of AI tools and technologies to improve business processes, decision-making, sourcing effectiveness, research, analytics, or productivity.
- Strong knowledge of supplier risk management, contract management, and technology procurement best practices.
- Excellent analytical, financial, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Able to manage multiple complex sourcing initiatives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
