Responsibilities
- Provides project management leadership and coordination across the Information Technology department, working directly with the Chief Information Officer (CIO).
- Maintains portfolio-level visibility across all Information Technology projects and provides the CIO with clear, current status updates.
- Administers and optimizes Jira, including project boards, workflows, dashboards, automation rules, and reporting.
- Supports teams with project planning, task development, backlog management, and project organization.
- Ledders larger and cross-functional projects from initiation through completion, managing scope, timelines, stakeholder communication, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Supports teams managing their own initiatives by assisting with planning, reporting, project recovery efforts, task breakdown, and overall project coordination.
- Produces concise and meaningful reporting for leadership and stakeholders while translating technical details into clear business-focused updates.
- Identifies risks, dependencies, and barriers to project success and works proactively to drive resolution or appropriate escalation.
Qualifications
- Three (3) to five (5) years of project management experience, preferably in an Information Technology, software, healthcare, or technology-driven environment.
- Experience administering and utilizing Jira, including workflows, dashboards, boards, reporting, and project organization functions.
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, manage shifting priorities, and maintain a high level of accountability and follow-through.
- Experience working in healthcare or another regulated industry is preferred but not required.
- Project management certifications such as PMP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or PMI-ACP are preferred but not required.
