Technology Auditor – Compliance & Anti-Financial Crime - Assistant Vice President

Deutsche Bank Technology Auditors work independently on audits of specific business, functional, or regional areas—sometimes handling multiple audits concurrently. You will evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls related to risks within those areas, operating under moderate supervision in complex situations. The role involves proactively developing and maintaining professional consultative relationships within your function and with stakeholders across the Bank. You will use various approaches to gather relevant information, assess key risks, resolve issues, and complete tasks. Collaboration with subject matter experts and other teams ensures front-to-back audit coverage, and you may occasionally participate in ad-hoc projects.

What You’ll Do

  • Evaluate the design and effectiveness of technology controls supporting Compliance, Anti-Financial Crime (AFC), eDiscovery, and Archiving in line with Group Audit methodology and risk frameworks
  • Plan and deliver audits by documenting processes, assessing risks and controls, engaging stakeholders, drafting issues, tracking findings, and validating closure
  • Partner with business auditors and contribute technology expertise to front-to-back audits
  • Maintain current regulatory and industry knowledge, assessing impacts on audit plans, methodology, and risk assessments
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues, business partners, and support teams while collaborating across local and global teams
  • Deliver high-quality audits, finding validations, and ad hoc projects on schedule

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant certification preferred (e.g., CISA, CRISC, CCSP, ITIL, COBIT, CIA, CFE, or CPA)
  • At least four years of internal audit experience covering Technology, Security, Compliance, AFC, or Regulatory topics, or comparable first- or second-line experience; public accounting experience is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of technology, security, compliance, AFC, and regulatory risks and controls, with demonstrated IT audit experience; IT general controls audit experience required
  • Ability to assess control risks and issue impacts, supported by strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels and stakeholder groups
  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimize workflows, and solve business problems while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs

Expectations

Pay

The salary range for this position in Jacksonville, FL is $78,000 to $120,500. Actual salaries may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location, and other qualifications. The posted range does not include incentive compensation or other forms of remuneration.
