Technology Architect | Microservices | Microservices API Management

Vendor rate: up to ***/hr. Minimum 10+ years of experience required. Candidates must be visa-independent. First day is on-site at the client office in San Leandro, CA; relocation will not be considered. Interviews will be conducted via Skype/WebEx.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, high-performance APIs using REST, GraphQL, and gRPC.
• Develop and maintain microservices using Java and frameworks such as Spring Boot, Express.js, or FastAPI.
• Leverage cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, etc.).
• Apply domain-driven design (DDD), event-driven architecture, and microservices patterns.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software development.
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with microservices and API development.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of domain-driven design (DDD) and event-driven architecture.
