Principal Technology Architect | Microservices | Microservices API Management

This role is based in Bothell, WA (98011) and requires onsite work 5 days per week; remote work is not allowed. In-person interviews will be conducted at the client’s Bothell office. There is a potential path to permanent employment.

About the role

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in API Automation, Selenium, Cucumber, and Spark, along with the ability to design and execute robust automated testing strategies for enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites.
• Develop and execute API automation tests for RESTful services.
• Build and maintain UI automation frameworks using Selenium.
• Develop BDD-based automated tests using Cucumber.
• Create reusable and scalable automation solutions.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other QA engineers.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze test results and troubleshoot automation failures.
• Participate in test planning, estimation, and strategy discussions.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to automation best practices.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in QA Automation / Software Testing.
• 10 years of experience with API testing and Automation.
• 10 years of experience with Spark.
• Strong experience with API Automation.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium.
• Strong experience with Cucumber / BDD.
• Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Strong understanding of functional, regression, integration, and API testing.
• Experience with CI/CD and Agile development environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
