Microservices Architect

Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Microservices Architect to lead the design and evolution of large-scale microservices ecosystems built on modern container platforms and cloud-native technology stacks. The role requires deep expertise in service decomposition, domain-driven design, distributed data management, and runtime concerns such as resilience, observability, and security at scale.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• Eight or more years of software engineering experience, with several years in architecture roles
• Deep expertise in microservices design, domain-driven design, and distributed systems patterns
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and service mesh technologies
• Proficiency in at least one major backend language such as Java, Go, or C#
• Strong understanding of API design, event-driven architectures, and asynchronous messaging
• Experience operating high-traffic, latency-sensitive systems in production
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms and managed services across at least one major provider
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead architecture initiatives spanning multiple teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with platform engineering and internal developer platform construction
• Familiarity with Istio, Linkerd, Envoy, or comparable service mesh technologies
• Exposure to FinOps practices and cloud cost optimization at scale
• Public speaking, open-source contributions, or published technical writing
• Experience in regulated industries with strict compliance requirements
