About the Role
The Technology Advisor provides expert consultative support for the Authorization to Operate (ATO) program and related cybersecurity initiatives, focusing on policy, standards, and procedure development, third-party risk management, and audit and regulatory compliance analysis. This role sets strategic direction, ensures regulatory compliance, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement across the organization. The position functions as a technical advisor, offering guidance on the ATO program to ensure compliance with security, infrastructure, testing, and implementation functions of information management systems.
Requirements
- Possession of a bachelor’s degree with at least 21 semester (32 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management, or mathematics.
- Six years of professional information technology experience.
- Certain positions may require certification in specific information technology programs.
Additional Information
- Candidates selected for this position must complete the Michigan State Police background check, which includes fingerprinting for state and federal criminal background records. The background check will cover arrests, criminal charges, criminal convictions, and any contact with a criminal justice agency.
