Responsibilities

• Affords assistance during delivery or operation/procedure by arranging, inventorying, and maintaining sterile setup as required for the procedure.
• Passes items as needed.
• Assists in the preparation of labor and delivery/surgical suite, moving patients, and in cleaning.

Specifications

• Experience:

• Minimum Required: Surgical Technologist graduate from an accredited school.
• Preferred/Desired: National certification as a surgical technician.
• Preferred/Desired: 20 hours of continuing education annually.

• Education:

• Minimum Required: Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technologists.

• Skill:

• Communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral, and verbal formats to achieve high productivity and efficiency.
• Writing legibly and recording information accurately as necessary to perform job duties.

• Special Skills:

• Computer literacy.
• Member of a professional organization.

• Licensure:

• BLS Certification within 14 days of hire.
• CPR.
• Current national certification through appropriate/approved accreditation body or five (5) years of previous cardiovascular surgery experience.
