About the role
The Senior MRI Technologist performs advanced MRI procedures, ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging standards. They mentor staff, fellows, residents, and students in MRI techniques and procedures, maintaining professional excellence. The role involves managing equipment, troubleshooting malfunctions, supporting inventory and quality assurance, and assisting with departmental operations. They provide leadership support by overseeing clinical workflows and advocating for process improvements, while fostering positive patient and family interactions through clear communication and empathy.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced MRI procedures while ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging standards
- Mentor staff, fellows, residents, and students in MRI techniques and procedures
- Manage MRI equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions
- Support inventory and quality assurance processes
- Assist with departmental operations and workflow oversight
- Advocate for process improvements and operational efficiency
- Communicate clearly and empathetically with patients and families
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Allied Health (Bachelor’s preferred)
- 3 years of MRI experience
- ARRT MRI certification
- Active BLS certification
- Current MA Radiologic Technologist license for MRI (preferred)
