Technologist - Radiology

Job Summary Operates radiology equipment and performs routine diagnostic procedures to assist in disease diagnosis and treatment, following established standards and physician prescriptions. Responsibilities Performs radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety methods as requested by a licensed physician.Exercises judgment in selecting and adjusting settings for each patient.Develops and implements procedure or treatment plans in accordance with hospital protocols.Completes documentation to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.Maintains equipment, procedure rooms, and work areas in a safe, organized condition.Participates in performance improvement activities and collects quality data to monitor standards.Achieves assigned goals and performs additional duties as needed. Qualifications & Skills Completion of a recognized Radiology Technology Program or equivalent experience.Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography or pending registration.Preferred: Associate degree in a related field.Strong understanding of radiologic principles and techniques, with ability to follow instructions and organize work efficiently.Required: ARRT(R) certification, BLS certification within 14 days of hire, and valid state licensure if applicable.
