To provide diagnostic services in a hospital and/or clinical setting, including clerical duties as required. Perform all duties in a manner that promotes team concepts and reflects the KPNW Mission and philosophy.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiological procedures using diagnostic radiographic equipment.
  • Conduct routine, emergent, portable, surgical, and fluoroscopic examinations in accordance with department policies and procedures, adjusting for the age of the patient served.
  • Image processing and use of current RIS and PACS systems.
  • Work under the supervision of a radiologist as needed, including film quality assurance and exam clarification.
  • Perform ECG as required.
  • Patient transport and filing duties.
  • Restock supplies and maintain cleanliness.
  • Responsible for patient registration and scheduling.
  • Participate in an on-call or standby schedule as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License (Oregon) or Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington) required at hire.
  • Radiologic Technologist Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required at hire.
  • Basic Life Support certification within 1 month of hire.
  • Daily use of diagnostic equipment and healthcare computer systems.
  • Demonstrated customer-focused service skills and excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of radiology equipment and exams to perform fluoroscopy, DXA, surgery, portable, and routine radiographic exams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience performing general radiographic exams using digital equipment within the last three years.
  • Organizational skills including time management, prioritization, planning, attention to detail, problem-solving, decision-making, and judgment.
  • Technical skills, initiative, communication, interpersonal skills, customer relations, and organizational relations.
  • Adaptability, adherence to policies and procedures, and flexibility.
  • Experience with McKesson PACS and EPIC electronic medical records system.
  • Associate’s degree in Radiologic Science or a related field.

Schedule

  • On-call position supporting the East Service Area.
  • Variable shift: Monday through Sunday.
  • Working hours: 07:00 AM to 08:30 PM.
  • Travel: Yes, 20% of the time.

Pay

$42.69 - $57.37 per hour. Kaiser Permanente strives to offer a market-competitive total rewards package and is committed to pay equity and transparency. The posted pay range is based on possible base salaries for the role. Actual base pay determined at offer will consider labor market data, internal alignment, and a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.

Work setting: Onsite. Worker location must align with Kaiser Permanente's Authorized States policy.
