About the Role

To provide diagnostic services in a hospital and/or clinical setting, including clerical duties as required. Perform all duties in a manner that promotes team concepts and reflects the KPNW Mission and philosophy.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiological procedures using diagnostic radiographic equipment.
  • Conduct routine, emergent, portable, surgical, and fluoroscopic examinations in accordance with department policies and procedures, tailored to the age of the patient served.
  • Image processing and utilization of the current RIS and PACS system.
  • Work under the supervision of a radiologist as needed, including film Quality Assurance and exam clarification.
  • Perform ECG as required.
  • Patient transport and filing duties.
  • Restock supplies and maintain cleanliness.
  • Responsible for patient registration and scheduling.
  • Participate in an on-call or standby schedule as required.
  • Daily use of diagnostic equipment, imaging, and healthcare computer systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License (Oregon) or Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington) required at hire.
  • Radiologic Technologist Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required at hire.
  • Basic Life Support certification within 1 month of hire.
  • Proficient knowledge of radiology equipment and exams to perform fluoroscopy, DXA, surgery, portable, and routine radiographic exams.
  • Demonstrates customer-focused service skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience performing general radiographic exams using digital equipment within the last three years.
  • Experience with McKesson PACS and EPIC electronic medical records system.
  • Associate’s degree in Radiologic Science or related field.
  • Organizational skills including time management, prioritization, planning, attention to detail, problem-solving, decision-making, and judgment.
  • Adaptability, ability to follow policies and procedures, and flexibility.

Schedule

  • Full-time, standard worker location onsite.
  • Shift: Evening, Monday through Friday, 03:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
  • Scheduled weekly hours: 40.
  • Travel: Yes, 5% of the time.

Pay

Pay range: $42.69 - $57.37 per hour. Kaiser Permanente strives to offer a market-competitive total rewards package and is committed to pay equity and transparency. The actual base pay determined at offer will be based on labor market data, internal alignment, and a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.
