About the Role
Performs imaging procedures and treatments according to radiology practice standards to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates a thorough understanding of radiologic principles and theory, utilizing the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures and treatments, as evidenced by results.
- Develops and implements procedure and treatment plans using established hospital protocols and guidelines.
- Completes required documentation to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
- Maintains equipment, procedure and treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities to ensure patient care aligns with established standards.
- Completes assigned goals.
Requirements
- 6 months of experience in the specialty area to meet all MRI competencies by the end of the orientation period.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R).
- Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT)(MR) preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Basic computer literacy skills.
Licensure
- ARRT(R) certification.
- BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
- New graduates must obtain required registry within 60 days of hire.
- State license as required.
- ARRT(MR) certification preferred.
