About the Role

Performs imaging procedures and treatments according to radiology practice standards to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of radiologic principles and theory, utilizing the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures and treatments, as evidenced by results.
  • Develops and implements procedure and treatment plans using established hospital protocols and guidelines.
  • Completes required documentation to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Maintains equipment, procedure and treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure patient and staff safety.
  • Participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities to ensure patient care aligns with established standards.
  • Completes assigned goals.

Requirements

  • 6 months of experience in the specialty area to meet all MRI competencies by the end of the orientation period.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R).
  • Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT)(MR) preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Basic computer literacy skills.

Licensure

  • ARRT(R) certification.
  • BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
  • New graduates must obtain required registry within 60 days of hire.
  • State license as required.
  • ARRT(MR) certification preferred.
