Technologist Assistant - Full time, daytime

About the role

Provides day-to-day administrative and clinical support to diagnostic technologists and radiologists in the breast services environment at Charlotte Radiology, a trusted industry leader with over 50 years of experience in clinical imaging and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and verify all pertinent information for patient visits, including prior imaging
• Call patients for priors, baselines, callbacks, and post-biopsy as needed
• Schedule follow-up patient appointments
• Assist with patient throughput and provide patient support
• Prepare clinical procedure rooms and paperwork
• Assist technologists and physicians with clinical procedures as needed
• Provide post-procedural care information and follow-up as directed by clinical staff
• Aid in maintenance of clinical spaces, including housekeeping, clinical supply stocking/inventory, and preparation of medical waste for transport
• Utilize clinical application systems to facilitate radiologist and technologist workflows, including scanning and indexing clinical documentation
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Medical experience preferred
• Administrative or customer service experience required
• High school diploma or GED required
• CPR certification
• Computer literate
• Ability to read and interpret medical reports
• Familiarity with mammography setting
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, both internal and external
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Self-motivated
• Travel required (0 – 25% of time)
• Primarily walking and standing
• Ability to lift 25 lbs
• Exposure to radiation, infectious disease, and bloodborne pathogens
• Willingness to work outside of normal Monday–Friday business hours, including overtime and floating coverage, as needed

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
