Patient Care & Clinical Support

  • Welcome and escort ambulatory patients throughout their imaging visit while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Prepare patients for MRI and CT examinations by reviewing instructions and ensuring they are ready for their scheduled procedure.
  • Perform peripheral IV starts for contrast-enhanced imaging studies within scope of practice.
  • Assist technologists with patient positioning and preparation before imaging exams.
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after contrast administration as directed by the technologist.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to ease anxiety and create a warm, comfortable, spa-like experience.
  • Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and comfort throughout the imaging process.

Department Operations

  • Aid in maintaining efficient patient flow throughout the MRI and CT departments.
  • Prepare imaging rooms between patients, including room turnover and stocking supplies.
  • Verify patient readiness and communicate delays or concerns to technologists.
  • Aid in resolving workflow issues to minimize scheduling delays.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and welcoming patient care areas.
  • Ensure patient preparation areas remain stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Aid in checking and stocking crash carts and emergency equipment according to department policy.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all MRI safety protocols and departmental procedures.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Report safety concerns or equipment issues promptly.
  • Adhere to all infection prevention and safety standards.
  • Participate in department training and ongoing competency requirements.
  • Respond appropriately during medical emergencies until a technologist, radiologist, or EMS assumes patient care.

  • Deliver an exceptional patient experience by creating a welcoming, calm, and supportive environment.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and excellent communication with patients, visitors, physicians, and coworkers.
  • Represent Precision Imaging Centers' commitment to providing a hospitality-driven experience that is more hospitality, less hospital.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of direct patient care experience.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency starting peripheral IVs.
  • Strong patient assessment and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient imaging environment.
