About the role

This role requires an expert-level background in Cisco enterprise routing and switching, large-scale Meraki & Aruba wireless deployments, and software-defined wide area networking (SD-WAN). The ideal candidate will serve as a technical authority, leading complex infrastructure projects and mentoring junior engineering staff.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, configure, and troubleshoot complex Cisco routing and switching and Cisco ACI environments using advanced protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, Nexus Switches technologies: VPC, FEX, VDC, VXLAN, Leaf and Spine).
  • Oversee the lifecycle deployment, management, configuration, and security optimization of multi-vendor wireless networks (Cisco Catalyst, Cisco Meraki, and Aruba).
  • Design, deploy, and maintain robust SD-WAN architectures utilizing VMware VeloCloud SD-WAN technology.
  • Handle all P1 and P2 incidents and drive to RCA closure; work with multiple towers and vendors.
  • Act as the ultimate technical escalation point for critical network outages, performance degradation, and complex root-cause analyses.
  • Implement and enforce network security policies, firewall integrations, and secure access controls across wired and wireless setups.
  • Provide technical leadership, architectural governance, and mentorship to mid-level and junior network engineers.

Requirements

  • Deep, authoritative knowledge of Cisco enterprise portfolios (Catalyst switches: 3750, 3850, 9300, and 9500 series; Nexus data center: 7K/5K/9K switches; ISR/ASR routers), Cisco ACI technology with hands-on and troubleshooting experience.
  • Proven track record managing enterprise-grade wireless infrastructures using Cisco AireOS (2500 series, 5500, and 9800 series WLC and AP), Cisco Meraki, and Aruba architectures.
  • Direct, hands-on experience designing and operating VMware VeloCloud SD-WAN solutions.
  • Expert-level understanding of IP routing (EIGRP, OSPF), quality of service (QoS), MPLS, and network security standards.
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

Preferred certifications:

  • Cisco CCNP/CCIE (Routing & Switching / Wireless)
  • VMware Certified Technical Associate / Professional – Network Virtualization (VeloCloud)

Pay

Expected compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $173,800. Final compensation will depend on various factors, including geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience.
