TECHNICIAN-VIDEO/COMMUNICATION

SUMMARY

To perform semi-skilled electrical and electronics work in various installations, repair, maintenance, and service tasks for the District's communication, video, vehicle telemetric system, fuel systems, and life saving safety devices.

QUALIFICATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS

• REQUIRED:
  • A High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum five (5) years' progressively knowledgeable and skilled experience in installation and service of electronic communication video surveillance and/or vehicle telemetric devices, preferably in the field of pupil transportation; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Experience with lifesaving devices (AED's, Fire Extinguishers, etc).
• PREFERRED/DESIRED: Related technical or vocational training preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/TRAINING

• REQUIRED:
  • A Valid Florida Commercial Driver License (CDL), Class B or higher with air brakes, passenger endorsement (P), and School Bus (S) (must obtain within three (6) months of employment) to be maintained at all times.
  • CPR-Cardiopulmonary resuscitation certified (must be obtained within three (3) months of employment to be maintained at all times).
