Technician/Trailer Mechanic

About the role

Transport Services is seeking an experienced professional to join their group of technicians in Cleveland, Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and various repairs on semi trailers and/or diesel trucks in line with company and DOT standards.
• Work four 10-hour days (7:00am - 5:30pm) or five 8-hour days (8:00am - 4:30pm).

Requirements

• 1+ years of applicable trailer mechanics or diesel mechanics experience.
• Demonstrate diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs.
• Must provide own tools.
• Self-motivated, hard-working, reliable, and works well with others.
• Must be able to read and write.
• Occasionally move parts and/or materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
• Must be able to bend.
• Must be able to use power tools.
• May be required to work more than 8 hours during a workday.

Qualifications

• Welding/fabrication experience (preferred but not required).
• Commercial Driver’s License (preferred but not required).
• American Society of Automotive Engineers (ASE) certifications (preferred but not required).
• Diesel/Truck repair experience (preferred but not required).
• Electrical/Refrigeration experience (preferred but not required).
