Maintained Duties

• Prepares and provides sterile instruments, supplies and equipment for operative and other invasive procedures.
• Maintains the sterile field and responds to the needs of the surgical team.
• Supports the Mission and Core Values of San Gabriel Valley Medical Center.
• Participates in educational and competency verification activities relevant to scrub person activities.
• Cleans and prepares surgical instruments for processing and transports them to decontamination areas.
• Assists with post-procedure cleaning of the operative or other invasive procedure room and prepares the room for subsequent patients.
• Works irregular hours including call hours.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program.
• One year working experience as a Surgical Tech.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Certified surgical technologist (CST) certification preferred.
