Technician, Show-I

About the Role

We are looking for a Show Technician to join our Atlantis Show team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for safe technical operations, with the ability to operate, maintain, install, troubleshoot, and repair equipment used in technical production, including robotics, hydraulics, steam and boiler operation, water and fire effects, lighting, and sound. Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent customer service, are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assists with show operations, including maintenance, repair, and replacement of equipment.
• Assists with the installation of all technical and mechanical elements.
• Promptly reports to supervisors when supplies, hardware, or tools are needed or become unsafe.
• Keeps supervisors informed of progress and asks for help when needed to maintain organizational functionality.
• Performs job functions safely and consistently with OSHA and other federal, state, and local standards, including COVID-related health and safety protocols for performing arts venues.
• Maintains and performs minor repairs on controls, pneumatics, structural elements, lighting controls and fixtures, plumbing, electrical, pyro, and steam systems.
• Routinely inspects the facility, identifies potential issues, and alerts supervisors of needed repairs.
• Assists other departmental staff with A/V equipment and IT resolutions as needed.
• Performs daily cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Technical experience with live entertainment events.
• Able to work at heights using Genie lifts, ladders, and scaffolding.
• Able to obtain Fire and Combustion Certifications.
• Familiarity with steam systems and valves.
• Ability to operate a variety of equipment for preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and property cleanliness.
• Basic understanding of computer systems and safety systems.
• Ability to work from technical drawings.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs if required.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Qualifications

• 3D modeling software experience is a plus.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $21.83 - $33.65 per hour. Actual compensation within that range will depend on skills, experience, and qualifications.
