About the Role

The IT Technician is a qualified Computer Technician who will install, maintain, and repair hardware, software, and network devices. This position ensures adequate IT infrastructure is in place and used to its maximum capabilities. The ideal candidate will work diligently and accurately, possess strong problem-solving skills, and maintain high-quality networks and computer systems.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software components to ensure usability.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
  • Repair or replace damaged hardware.
  • Provide support to users and serve as the first point of contact for error reporting.
  • Manage technical documentation.
  • Handle service requests and incidents within ITSM solutions.
  • Define software, hardware, and network requirements.
  • Offer timely technical support and teach users how to utilize computers correctly.
  • Use personal device/cellular phone for job-related operational tasks, review of company documents, etc.
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested.
  • Adhere to company and department rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Uphold Resorts World Las Vegas’ five core non-negotiable responsibilities:
    • Act as an ambassador for the property.
    • Prioritize safety and address concerns promptly.
    • Report security concerns immediately.
    • Maintain cleanliness and notify appropriate departments of larger issues.
    • Assist guests with a smile and escalate needs as necessary.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of computer operating systems, internet security, and data privacy principles.
  • Experience with database programming and software installation.
  • Ability to manage service requests and incidents within ITSM solutions.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Effective communication in English.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Ability to obtain Gaming Control Board Registration.

Qualifications

  • At least 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum two years of experience working in an Information Technology (IT) department.
  • Minimum two years of experience in computer networks and systems maintenance or a similar role.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s or associate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Preferred: Experience with hospitality systems and analytics.
  • Preferred: Previous experience in a large, luxury resort setting.

Physical Demands

  • Work is typically performed in an office environment but may also occur in retail, food & beverage venues, or outdoors.
  • Must tolerate varying noise levels, temperatures, lighting, and air quality.
  • Prolonged sitting and standing.
  • Bending, reaching, and lifting/moving items up to 50 lbs.
  • Eye/hand coordination.
  • Ability to follow instructions, including chemical labels (SDS) and daily memorandums.
