Technician Radiologic

About the role

Performs diagnostic imaging exams in either an inpatient and/or outpatient setting, adhering to established protocols for positioning, image quality, radiation safety, and MRI safety. May also include assignments to specialty areas requiring a radiologic technologist, such as the ED, OR, or Fluoroscopy.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes a variety of specialized equipment to produce diagnostic images
• Enters patient related information into hospital databases using computers and various software programs
• Contributes to the department's excellence through commitment to personal excellence in technical and interpersonal skills

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• ARRT certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• State of New Jersey licensure in Radiologic Technology
• Certification for Basic Life Support (BLS) granted through the American Heart Association within 12 months of hire

Qualifications

• Knowledge normally acquired through completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
• Analytical ability to resolve problems using basic specific, mathematical, or technical principles
• Ability to explain clinical, technical, and diagnostic procedures to patients and their families

Skills

• Technical proficiency with imaging equipment
• Computer literacy and proficiency with hospital database systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Pay

Salary range provided to comply with New Jersey Law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc.
