Technician, Quality Control

About the Role

Persons employed as a Quality Control Technician test fuel and additive products for qualities such as dimensions, performance, and chemical characteristics. The role involves recording test data, evaluating results, and writing reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards. Technicians may also perform duties of a fueler or fuel farm attendant and must conduct work safely and in compliance with environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Select and test fuel/additive products for dimensions, performance, and chemical characteristics.
• Record test data following statistical quality control procedures.
• Evaluate data and write reports to validate or indicate deviations from standards.
• Perform duties of a fueler or fuel farm attendant as needed.
• Adhere to all company, industry, local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations.
• Consult with manufacturers to determine quality and reliability standards.
• Work in varying weather and environmental conditions, including near aircraft and moving equipment.
• Regularly use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Frequently stand and walk.
• Identify and distinguish colors.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Operate company equipment safely.
• Read, write, and fluently speak and understand English.
• Communicate clearly in English via in-person, telephone, radio, and written formats.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Perform mathematical calculations involving weight, measurement, and volume.
• Wear prescribed uniform and insignia.
• Report to work regularly and on time.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED plus one (1) year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Ability to pass background checks (criminal and motor vehicle), drug tests, and receive/maintain an airport security badge.
• Legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
• Successful completion of the Company’s PST training program.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $23.70 to $29.63 per hour.
