Technician, Quality Assurance

Responsibilities

• Maintain Quality Assurance Department records, both hard copy and electronic copy
• Perform simple quality tests, casting/pasting inspections, curing released, voltage, gravity, etc.
• Perform acid receiving analysis and load acceptance
• Perform battery autopsy analysis and identify failure modes
• Aids QA Engineer with data collection and analysis
• Understand the battery manufacturing process from receiving through shipping
• Review circuit tending paperwork
• Troubleshoot any conditions that adversely affect product quality
• Make recommendations for adjusting equipment
• Fully perform QA procedures in all plant and shipping areas
• Perform electrical testing/analysis of all battery types

Qualifications

• Available for various shifts, and overtime
• Responsible individual with strong work ethic
• Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma, Minimum 3 years of manufacturing and plant experience, Good writing and communication skills, Some formal QA training, Ability to use hand tools and learn specific machine controls, gauges, etc., Understand specifications and labels associated with hazardous material, Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Additional Requirements: Read, write and speak English, Performs basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide), Has basic knowledge of statistics, Basic Microsoft Office skills (e.g., enter data, etc.), High school diploma or equivalent, Some manufacturing experience

Pay

Salary Range: $25-$26/hr
