About the Role
The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the quality of raw materials, commodities, and durable & consumable items received, are acceptable per the appropriate quality attributes.
Responsibilities
- Perform sampling and inspect raw materials, commodities, durable & consumable items as per specifications.
- Responsible for the release of material according to materials specification and incoming quality procedures.
- Enter test results in manufacturing systems such as SAP and LIMS.
- Segregate and document rejected and experimental materials.
- Maintain current specifications, procedures, and documents for the area.
Qualifications
- High School or GED with one (1) year of experience in the biologics or pharmaceutical industry, or Associate Degree in Science with 0 years of experience.
- Knowledge of good manufacturing (GMP) and safety practices.
- Basic verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Experience driving forklifts and handling materials preferred.
- Basic knowledge of computer systems.
