Responsibilities
- Follow engineering laboratory test instructions to perform tests on variable-speed compressors
- Set up and install compressors and support compressor electronics for test purposes
- Operate laboratory test equipment, including calorimeters, mass flow stands, data acquisition systems, and other measuring equipment used to acquire compressor performance characteristics
- Setup and operate variable-speed drives for testing purposes
- Fabricate supporting test fixtures and controls required for non-standard tests
- Review test data for compliance with applicable test data standards
- Complete required tests and communicate test results with engineers
- Provide input on optimizing work processes to improve the overall efficiency of the lab
Requirements
- High school diploma plus two to three (2-3) years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic mechanical, HVAC, and/or electrical/electronic skills
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Personal computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office programs
Qualifications
- Legal Authorization to work in the United States

Pay

Schedule
This position is on the third shift and consists of five eight-hour workdays Monday through Friday. This role is based fully on-site and is not eligible for hybrid or remote work opportunities.

The facility is located in Sidney, OH, within driving distance to several larger cities like Dayton, Troy, and Columbus. The area offers a family-friendly environment with low costs of living, excellent school systems, and low crime rates. The area is home to several growing communities with restaurants, festivals, shopping, and arts scenes that make them exciting places to live and work. Our newly renovated Sidney campus has 1M square feet of manufacturing floor with an additional 120k square feet of leading-edge lab facilities. This location is the headquarters for our HVACR Americas business unit. Through our many years of compressor expertise, our products help bring comfort and convenience to refrigeration, commercial, industrial, and residential spaces. Approximately 1600 employees work in Sidney, who all support a multitude of business functions.
