Technician- Maintenance III USA (Crew C)

About the Role

Performs all necessary maintenance of the facility, equipment, and grounds in a safe, timely, and cost-efficient manner. Assists in planning and scheduling daily work assignments for maintenance technicians, mentors junior technicians, and writes repair procedures as requested. Reports directly to the shift maintenance supervisor and checks/approves all completed work orders.

Responsibilities

• Repair and troubleshoot all manufacturing equipment, including current and future systems.
• Mentor junior technicians in on-site service, repair of process equipment, and facility maintenance.
• Communicate parts inventory levels and assist in evaluating/certifying junior technicians for promotions and training.
• Set an example in troubleshooting, servicing equipment, and implementing the preventative maintenance program.
• Collaborate with other departments and vendors while adhering to OSHA, EPA, and company safety practices.
• Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
• Train maintenance technicians and ensure all work is recorded in CMMS with complete documentation (spares, labor, downtime).
• Attend shift meetings to communicate work-related information from previous shifts.
• Perform other assignments as required by supervisors, substitute for the Lead when needed, and assist Equipment Engineers with projects.

Requirements

• High school graduate with one of the following:
  • 2-year technical school in Electrical and Maintenance field, or
  • 2-year associate degree or equivalent program in a technical discipline, or
  • 8+ years of maintenance experience, or
  • 5 years of experience with a degree in a mechanical or electrical discipline.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Proficiency in computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Basic understanding of SPC and Process Control Techniques.
• Project leadership and supervisory experience (a plus).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read prints and suggest modifications.
• Proven electro/mechanical skills.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, vacuum systems, laser operations, and building codes.
• Vacuum troubleshooting and leak detection skills.

Pay

Estimated salary range: $30.05 - $42.81 USD per hour.

Physical Requirements

• Sit, stand, or walk short distances for up to 12 hours per day.
• Frequent climbing of stairs.
• Occasional lifting of up to 58 pounds and frequent lifting of up to 37 pounds.
• Occasional pushing/pulling of up to 27 pounds of force and frequent pushing/pulling of up to 10 pounds.
• Frequent use of hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry, or feel objects.
• 20/40 vision in each eye (with or without correction) and ability to distinguish between red, yellow, and green.
• Frequent reaching above shoulder heights and below the waist; occasional stooping, kneeling, or bending.
• Compliance with all safety standards and procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment (e.g., steel-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection).
