About the Role

Performs, as directed, all necessary maintenance of the facility, equipment, and grounds, in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma/GED and 3+ years maintenance experience
• High school diploma/GED and 5+ years of experience in a related field
• High school diploma/GED and 2-year technical school & 3+ years’ experience
• Journeyman’s Card from an accredited apprenticeship program preferred

Skills

• Knowledge of manufacturing equipment
• Knowledge of computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Knowledge of CMMS (required for internal candidates, a plus for external candidates)
• Project Leader experience a plus
• Proven communication skills
• Ability to read prints and suggest modifications as required
• Proven electro/mechanical skills
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, vacuum systems, and robotic systems
• Ability to follow safe work practices and full understanding of LOTO
• Ability to work independently with no supervision
• Capable of troubleshooting to the systems level
• Full knowledge of all PMs
• Capable of pulling reports and entering data or pass downs into/from the CMMS system

Responsibilities

• Accomplishes daily assignments as scheduled and as directed
• Performs on-site service and repair of equipment
• Meets at least 90% of estimated repair times
• Collaborates with other departments
• Follows standard OSHA, EPA, and company safe practices on all work assignments
• Identifies and recommends opportunities for cost savings
• May be asked to train other employees
• May fill in as Team Lead if no Tech III is available
• Reads electrical and mechanical drawings and technical manuals
• Adheres to all safety procedures, good housekeeping standards, and wears PPE
• Notifies EHS Department with questions or concerns about hazardous waste management
• Manages waste generated from any work performed
• Other duties as assigned

This position will not have direct reports and no travel is required.

Pay

Estimated salary range: $23.37 - $32.72 USD per hour.

• 20/40 vision in each eye separately and both eyes (with or without correction), ability to distinguish between red, yellow, and green, and peripheral vision >70 degrees is required
• May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis
• May stoop, kneel, or bend on an occasional basis
• Must comply with all safety standards and procedures
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (including steel-toed shoes, cut-resistant gloves, jackets, aprons, arm guards, safety glasses, goggles, hearing protection, and respirators) is required; little or no facial hair may be required for continued employment
