Job Summary
The Landscaping Technician is responsible for maintaining the condition of all gardens, green areas, and outdoor spaces, ensuring they meet the aesthetic standards of the One&Only Moonlight Basin brand. This role supports the execution of all landscaping programs, contributing to creating a visually appealing environment for guests and colleagues alike.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of gardens, green areas, and outdoor spaces to ensure optimal appearance
- Carry out planting, fertilization, cultivation, and reforestation activities
- Execute different types of pruning for trees, shrubs, and plants, according to horticultural and seasonal needs
- Remove weeds to maintain soil health across landscaped areas
- Clean outdoor spaces, including pathways, ensuring high presentation standards
- Support landscaping efforts during adverse weather events, such as snow, hail, and rain storms
- Use landscaping equipment safely
- Follow safety procedures in all tasks performed
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Assistant Manager, Landscaping or other members of management
Skills, Experience, & Educational Requirements
- Previous experience in gardening, landscaping, or a related field
- Understanding of horticulture or agriculture practices
- Possess a driver's license
- Ability to consistently work outdoors in different weather conditions
- Ability to follow instructions given by leadership
- Commitment to quality, cleanliness, and safety standards
Physical Requirements
The ideal candidate must be able to perform all physical requirements of the job in a safe manner, with or without reasonable accommodation. Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and bending in an operational environment for extended periods
- Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and pulling
- Lifting and carrying of loads weighing up to 75 pounds
- Working in outdoor environments, including high altitudes, that may present extreme weather conditions such as snow, ice, rain, heat, wind, etc.
