Responsibilities
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics, and sketches.
- Fabricate, assemble, test, and inspect electrical and mechanical systems according to engineering drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions.
- Conduct testing, collect data, and generate reports.
- Perform calibration and alignment checks on equipment.
- Troubleshoot, modify, rework, and repair electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment.
- Assemble, rework, and repair circuit boards containing surface mount and through-hole components.
- Fabricate mechanical and electrical parts from drawings and sketches and prepare samples for testing.
- Operate equipment required to perform testing, assembly, and fabrication activities.
- Maintain a safe work environment and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as a technician performing related tasks in a production or prototype environment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Experience assembling and testing electronic and mechanical equipment.
- Experience with circuit board assembly, rework, and repair.
- Associate's Degree or 2-year Technical Degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
- Preferred: 10+ years of experience in an engineering product development, testing, or production environment.
- Experience supporting engineering laboratories or prototype development programs.
- Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC-A-610 standards.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
