Visa Information
TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required. On a limited, case-by-case basis, the institution may also sponsor eligible individuals for change-of-status or change-of-employer petitions for qualifying positions. TTUHSC will not pay the $100,000 fee, if applicable.
Responsibilities
- Supervise phlebotomy staff.
- Schedule patients for laboratory services and EKG.
- Collect various specimens, with CMP's being fasting.
- Give critical lab values or cultures to ordering physician.
- Provide HIV post counseling for CID department and complete HIV pre-release testing.
- Work with phlebotomist to maintain laboratory cleanliness in accordance with ACA standards.
- Maintain laboratory licensing and credentials to ensure the lab is in compliance with operating standards as stated within policy.
- Maintain supplies, lab equipment, and report non-functioning equipment to the proper person as found.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent and four years’ experience.
- Additional job-related education may substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Phlebotomy Certification.

Pay
Pay Grade Minimum $20.00 per hour. Pay Grade Maximum $22.00 per hour.
Schedule
- Full Time, Hourly.
- Shift: Day.
- Schedule Details: Monday-Friday.
