Technician II (Tubes and Formulated Research Products) - Purifications - Weekday Overnight (M-Th 9pm - 7:30am)

About the role

The Technician II - TNFRP - Purifications is responsible for performing the purification of oligos using various techniques. This position reports to the Supervisor, TNFRP, and is part of the Tubes and Formulated Research Products Value Stream located in Coralville, IA.

Responsibilities

• Performs the purification of oligos using various techniques
• Quantifies and samples oligos for quality control tests
• Uses automated and manual lab equipment including limited maintenance and troubleshooting activities

Requirements

• An associate degree in a science related field and at least two years of lab experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proficiency in a variety of PC software programs with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to read, write, speak, understand and follow basic operating instructions

Qualifications

• Previous experience in life science work is a plus
• A bachelor’s degree is a plus
• Ability to perform and transition through a variety of tasks with concurrent deadlines daily with urgency and efficiency while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail

Skills

• Strong laboratory skills
• Knowledge of oligo purification techniques
• Basic understanding of lab equipment operation
