About the role
The Manufacturing Technician II is the mid-level position in our technician group. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical and electronic assemblies used in TSI equipment to the component level. You will interface with Manufacturing Assembly, Engineering, and both internal and external customers to assist in troubleshooting and repairing TSI equipment. Our goal is to ship equipment that is 100% correct (meets performance specifications) and 100% on-time. This position is responsible for repair, checkout, and testing of TSI’s new, service, and sales inventory equipment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical assemblies used in TSI equipment to the component level.
- Analyze errors in electronic design and production, providing advice and feedback on corrective actions.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to other technical personnel.
- Work with engineering on functionality issues, procedure updates, and introduction of new products and equipment.
- Continually improve setup, calibration, and test procedures for new and service equipment orders.
- Provide training to new build and service assemblers as necessary.
- Communicate with engineering on product performance and functionality issues.
- Assist the Technical Support group with customer needs for technical support.
- Edit and query Microsoft Database.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, following all safety guidelines and reporting unsafe conditions to supervisor.
- Complete other assignments and special projects as requested.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 5 years of relevant Technician experience.
- Electronic Technology AA degree or Certificate preferred with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- In lieu of a Technical AA Degree/Certificate, 2-3 years of electrical or computer engineering coursework as part of a Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 3+ years of relevant experience.
Qualifications
- Experience in testing, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of PCA circuit boards and complex instrumentation preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical devices to the component level is a plus.
- Experience responding to internal and external customers and developing a better understanding of the business is a plus.
Skills
- Knowledge of electronic components and their usage in electronic circuits.
- Advanced knowledge of electronic test equipment (e.g., Oscilloscope, VOM, and other test equipment).
- Computer skills using Microsoft Office products.

Pay
Competitive market salary ranging from $58,344 to $62,920 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Additional bonus opportunities may be available for eligible roles.
