Technician II
Non-Exempt, full-time position.
About the role
The Technician II plays a critical role in the success of PurgeRite, serving as a secondary on-site leader responsible for executing services from start to finish. This mid-level technical position requires an individual with a solid foundation in field operations and the leadership potential to guide others. You will fully support the Senior Technician while taking independent responsibility for specific project areas.
This role is designed for a "servant leader" who is dedicated to the technical development of their crew while remaining results-driven and accountable for project success. The goal is to ensure the flawless implementation of flushing projects while mentoring the next generation of technicians, ultimately helping the company scale while improving business efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Implement jobs in their entirety per PurgeRite SOPs; serve as the primary site lead in the absence of a Senior Technician.
- Help coordinate the activities and training of the crew; provide guidance to newer technicians to grow their technical capabilities.
- Maintain professional communication with customers and management; identify and resolve technical issues or site challenges independently.
- Read and comprehend engineering flush plans; understand and assist in balancing systems (flow and pressure) to meet project requirements.
- Oversee pre/post job checklists, equipment readiness, and trip logs; conduct pre-job site surveys to ensure operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of project activities and assist in writing high-quality flush reports for clients.
- Contribute to the design of new equipment and provide valuable input to improve existing programs and procedures.
- Enforce PurgeRite safety protocols at all times; drive company vehicles defensively and ensure tools and vehicles are maintained to standard.
- Protect client confidence, maintain a positive attitude, and ensure regular attendance and punctuality.
Requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of flush equipment capabilities, tools, and mechanical systems.
- Strong history of working with mechanical systems and a proactive approach to technical problem-solving.
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example and work harmoniously with diverse teams and customers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting, troubleshooting, and client interaction.
- OSHA 30 Certified and committed to a safe work environment.
- At least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license and a safe, insurable driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to pass comprehensive drug tests and background checks.
- Ability to lift/move up to 80 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions (wet, hot, or cold environments).
