About the role

We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Sunstate Equipment Co. Located in Buckeye, AZ, this position offers competitive pay dependent on experience, free uniforms and safety equipment, and unique benefits like vacation overtime averaging.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex mechanical repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment
• Diagnose and repair issues using diagnostic software and tools
• Ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably with a construction equipment background
• Experience with performing diagnostics and repairs, not just preventative maintenance
• Ability to learn new tools and technologies as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Skills

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Proficiency with diagnostic software and tools
• Attention to detail and quality control
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Pay

Pay range: $26.05 - $32.50 /HR, plus quarterly bonus potential!

Schedule

Typical schedule: Monday – Friday, Shop Hours - 6AM-5PM, Overtime hours depend on business needs.
