Job Description Certify and assist in training production operatorsAssist management with improving the efficiency of manufacturing processesMake decisions on production holds to disposition lots in a timely mannerOperate production equipment as requiredInitiate, perform, and implement corrective action towards resolving process and equipment problemsPerform daily routine checks and qualifications on equipmentPerform designated machine calibrationsTroubleshoot out of control tool and product issuesWrite and/or modify operating specificationsWrite reports to assist in the recommendation of process or equipment changesWrite regular progress reportsWork with engineers to generate OCAP (Out of Control Action Plan) documentsDocument new and edited recipesCollect, analyze, interpret, and summarize dataWork with Document Control to update equipment procedures as neededGenerate a detailed passdown for the oncoming shifts and engineersPerform tasks as directed by engineersDocument experiment results Shift: 1st Requirements/Qualifications Ability to feedback observations to peers clearly and efficientlyAbility to execute numerous tasks simultaneously in a high-paced production environmentDrives projects to completion with minimal supervision, learns complex chemical equipment processesUnderstanding of semiconductor manufacturing practices and methodsAbility to write documentation and specificationsStrong computer skills and ability to use spreadsheetsUnderstand process flows in manufacturingAbility to follow and improve manufacturing processesBasic comprehension of SPC theory, practice, and implementationAbility to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to routine problemsAbility to determine whether an issue is a process problem, a product problem, or a tool problemAbility to create and edit recipes, perform machine calibrations and first line troubleshooting on equipment failuresExcellent communication skills to interface internally and externally with all levels of an organization and to participate in problem solving/quality improvement activities Preferred Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals and technical proceduresAbility to effectively present information to management and employees. Ability to write correspondence, speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and formatAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, fundamentals of plane and solid geometry, and trigonometry.Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distributions, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance and correlation techniquesAbility to define problems/issues, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsExperience writing and/or conducting Design of ExperimentsExperience programming and maintaining automated manufacturing equipment and machineryKnowledge of and experience in Diffusion and or Ion Implant Education High School diploma or GED is required Associate of Science degree or greater is preferred Experience Greater than 2 years experience in semiconductor manufacturing is preferred.
