Technician I - Building and Construction

The Building & Construction team at Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking an Entry-Level Technician to join our Cliffwood, NJ office. This position supports construction projects by performing scheduled field tasks, inspections, tests, and maintaining equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform/assist with scheduled daily field/office tasks with other team members
• Conduct a variety of inspections and tests based on project specifics
• Neatly and accurately complete all required paperwork, including daily reports, test reports, and timesheets
• Perform maintenance/cleaning of equipment as needed
• Adhere to construction site safety guidelines and promote a safe working environment
• Perform other tasks as needed or assigned

Requirements

• No prior experience required - training provided by Senior Field Technicians
• Certifications with ACI, ICC, NJDCA, a plus
• Interest in learning the Building and Construction Industry
• Comfortable using MS Office applications (Word/Excel/Outlook)
• Punctual, reliable, with good attention to detail and communication skills
• Able to work with others in a cohesive manner and follow direction
• Able to lift up to 50lbs
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record (required)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED

• Ability to climb ladders, bend, crawl, push and pull, stretch, sit, walk and stand for extended periods of time during all types of weather conditions
