Technician I - 2nd Shift (4:00p - 2:30a)

We are looking for a Technician on the 2nd shift (4:00pm - 2:30am) for our Mequon, WI facility.

Responsibilities

• Performs production operations to support the manufacturing process.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Communicates clearly with co-workers and supervisors. Must be able to work as part of a team.
• Must conform to current health, environmental, and safety standards.
• Must be able to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions and ask questions if necessary to prevent misunderstanding.
• Handle, transport, and load material, operate mechanical production equipment, inspect and pack product, track and record production, and log/record downtime information.
• Follow company policies and procedures, actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, and engage in the company core values.
• Follow HSE and Quality Standards, and maintain cleanliness in work areas.
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Requirements

• Commits to the corporate core values, goals, mission and vision.
• High School graduate or GED or equivalent experience.
• Able to do prolonged standing 9+ hours or more.
• The employee frequently is required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
• Good dexterity, attention to fine details, and depth perception to enable detailed hand coordination.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, hand-eye coordination and the ability to adjust focus.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Manufacturing experience would be advantageous.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer skills to include basic understanding of Microsoft Office, Excel spreadsheets and Access database to complete end-of-day reports.
• A positive attitude and willingness to work overtime when required.
