Altec AIR is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team in Broomfield, Colorado. This position plays a critical role in supporting the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of refrigeration and HVAC/R systems used in specialized mobile equipment. Work closely with engineers and production teams in a safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and service refrigeration and HVAC/R systems.
- Perform brazing, refrigeration piping, and basic electrical wiring.
- Operate refrigeration service equipment and diagnostic tools, including vacuum pumps, leak detectors, gauges, and electrical meters.
- Test and inspect systems to ensure quality, performance, and compliance with specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical instructions to assemble and modify components.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems while supporting production and engineering teams.
- Follow all safety, quality, and environmental standards while maintaining a clean and productive work environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Enrolled in or completed a trade school or technical training program in HVAC/R or a minimum of one year of HVAC/R experience.
- Working knowledge of refrigeration systems, HVAC/R equipment, and electrical systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot refrigeration systems ranging from approximately 1/6 ton to 15 tons.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- EPA 608 Universal Refrigerant Certification.
- Manufacturing or production environment experience.
- Experience working with pneumatic and electrical assemblies.
- Experience using vacuum pumps, leak detectors, electronic gauge/manifold sets, electrical testing equipment, and hand and power tools.
Pay
$25.88–$27.32 per hour.
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.; voluntary overtime may be available as needed.
