About the Role
Operate and maintain pressure washing equipment to clean a variety of surfaces such as walls, sidewalks, roofs, parking lots, trash chutes, and compactors. Perform seasonal exterior maintenance activities, including snow and ice management, and execute additional facility-related maintenance duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain pressure washing equipment, including pumps, hoses, nozzles, and accessories.
- Evaluate areas to be cleaned and determine appropriate pressure levels, temperature settings, and operational methods.
- Remove dirt, debris, trash, and other contaminants to ensure surfaces meet facility standards.
- Follow established safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries while working with high-pressure equipment.
- Perform safety and preventative maintenance checks on power washing machinery, including oil and gas levels, oil changes, seals, and filters.
- Maintain equipment inventory, install normal wear parts, and ensure all tools are stored properly between uses.
- Operate and maintain corporate vehicles, including box trucks, ensuring they are stocked and in proper working order.
- Conduct pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections of mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment for vehicles.
- Report maintenance or safety concerns in accordance with company policies.
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of vehicles, and coordinate required maintenance.
- Safely operate motor vehicles and ensure they have all required documents, including checking fuel, water levels, brake condition, signals, and lights.
- Submit maintenance invoices for payment and verify the coverage and validity of vehicle insurance.
- Wear company uniform and badge according to company policies and procedures.
- Operate, inspect, and maneuver heavy machinery and powered equipment in accordance with training, certification requirements, and safety procedures.
- Perform pre-operation safety checks and post-operation inspections to ensure equipment is safe, functional, and compliant with standards.
- Identify unsafe conditions, equipment malfunctions, or potential hazards and take appropriate corrective action or escalate as required.
- Respond to work orders using phones, tablets, or laptops to record tasks, maintain logs, and update documentation.
- Communicate with facility users to troubleshoot issues, resolve service requests, and provide updates.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders to support operational needs across facilities.
- Follow safety procedures, complete documentation, and coordinate with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners.
- Lead and participate in teams by sharing resources, information, and tools to meet business priorities.
- Execute work assignments, monitor progress, and adapt to changing priorities or emerging challenges.
- Perform seasonal exterior maintenance activities, including snow and ice management by operating snow removal equipment and applying de-icing materials.
- Evaluate current and future replacement needs for facility elements such as mulch, rock, trees, shrubs, and sod.
- Implement upgrades to convert the facility into a sustainable unit and explore improvements to lower operating costs.
- Coordinate with Home Office support to standardize equipment and reduce on-hand stock.
- Source tools and equipment purchases to perform repairs.
- Ensure completed work meets quality and safety requirements and maintain a safe work environment.
- Report all safety violations to management and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
- Complete work assignments and priorities using company policies, data, and resources.
Requirements
- Ability to work alternative shifts, including overnight or weekends.
- Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
- Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, or OUI within the last five years.
- Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in power washing/exterior maintenance.
- Experience using intermediate-level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Proficient in speaking and understanding Spanish.
- State/local licensing where required (e.g., Florida, Texas, California).

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
