About the team

The team supports Walmart Supercenters and Sam’s Clubs by maintaining landscapes through mowing, trimming, and related projects. They manage scheduled assignments with a focus on quality and safety compliance, coordinating resources efficiently. Team members conduct equipment inspections, follow OSHA guidelines, and play a vital role in sustaining facility aesthetics and functionality.

Responsibilities

  • Install HVAC systems, ductwork, controls, and related building equipment following technical plans and codes.
  • Configure and calibrate digital controls, building automation, and low-ambient HVAC applications to meet operational standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control issues affecting HVAC and facility systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure optimal system performance and reduce downtime.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance, inspections, parts usage, and service activities.
  • Operate company vehicles safely to complete service calls within assigned regions.
  • Collaborate with management and partners to support operational efficiency and compliance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience installing and maintaining HVAC systems, ductwork, and control components.
  • Proficiency in configuring and calibrating direct digital controls and building automation systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical schematics, layout plans, and documentation accurately.
  • Skilled in diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and control-related HVAC issues.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices to enhance equipment reliability.
  • Familiarity with OSHA standards and company safety protocols.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with facility operators and team members.
  • Capability to manage work assignments using digital tools and scheduling systems.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles safely.

Qualifications

  • Vocational or technical HVAC certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC and building controls.
  • Option 1: 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, electrical, plumbing, material handling-equipment, or related trades.
  • Option 2: 2 years’ store experience.
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.
  • Valid EPA Section 608 Certification for the handling and servicing of refrigerants.
  • Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
  • Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
  • No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
  • No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of a 2-year vocational or technical HVAC program.
  • Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00 - $51.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
