Position Summary

Walmart is hiring General Maintenance Technicians to diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance duties for all commercial equipment in Walmart stores.

What you'll do...

• Perform minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures (such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment)
• Complete routine maintenance to ensure safety and proper functionality
• Manage work orders and routine maintenance schedules by completing and providing required written and electronic information (such as expense vouchers, weekly summaries, work orders, maintenance logs, etc.)
• Equipment serviced: Food Equipment (Combi ovens, deli slicers, auto meat cutters, fryers, hot cases, ice makers, pizza ovens, rotisserie ovens, thermoglazers, donut cases, four bowl warmers, bakery ovens, bread slicers, tortilla makers), Grease and Oil Systems (oil/water separators, used cooking oil tanks)

Minimum Qualifications

• 3 years' experience in maintenance
• Valid state-issued driver’s license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
• Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

Preferred Qualifications

• Vocational or technical certification and 2 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area
• 4 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area
• Licenses in a related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located
• Ability to read and speak the English language as required by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations

Additional Information

• Hourly wage range: $26.00 - $51.00
• Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances
