Position Summary

The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, Food Equipment, is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on food equipment, facilities, and fixtures to ensure operational efficiency and safety.

What you'll do

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on food equipment and facility systems using multiple craft skills.
  • Inspect, clean, and test equipment to diagnose issues and determine replacement needs to minimize future repairs.
  • Utilize multiple craft skills including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry to complete major and minor repairs.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy machinery, and material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, parts ordering, and documentation to ensure accurate tracking and cost control.
  • Respond promptly to emergency calls and participate in on-call rotations to support critical business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while coordinating with contractors.

What you'll bring

  • Proven experience performing preventive maintenance and repairs on food equipment and facility systems using multiple craft skills.
  • Ability to inspect, diagnose, and document equipment conditions, ensuring timely identification of repair and replacement needs.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, heavy machinery, and interpreting blueprints and repair manuals.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance with OSHA and EPA standards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Option 1: Vocational or technical certification and 2 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
  • Option 2: 4 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
  • Licence in a related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located.
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
  • Ability to read and speak the English language as required by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
  • Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
  • Mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
  • No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
  • No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
  • Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
  • Using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
