Technician, Energetics Assemblies

About the role

EBAD seeks a skilled technician for the position of Energetics Technician, reporting to the Production Supervisor. The position is located in Simsbury, CT. At EBAD, you will actively contribute to successful missions putting men, women, and satellites into space, and protecting our armed service members around the world.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety standards and work instructions.
• Perform assembly and inspection operations in accordance with detailed manufacturing instructions, product drawings, and quality plans.
• Perform coreload analysis on energetic materials.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records and documentation.
• Assist engineers in manufacturing process development activities under direction of the engineer’s written instructions.
• Support inventory maintenance of component parts and materials.
• Setup and maintain work cells in accordance with 6S principles.
• Provide feedback to engineers and supervisor for improvements.

• High school diploma required.
• Contribute toward continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills

• Preferred: Experience with assembly operations including torquing, bonding, cutting, filing, bending, and laser welding.
• Preferred: Experience with lab equipment including precision weight scales, graduated cylinders, and calipers/micrometers.
• Preferred: Experience with MS Office, specifically Excel.
