Technician, Controls

Job Responsibilities

• Controls Systems Support: Partner with Engineering to develop standards, specifications, and purchase parts lists; plan and implement controls-related improvements; and provide technical support during new model launches and daily Assembly operations.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform Assembly Maintenance Technician duties including robotics, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting; make adjustments to parts and machinery to ensure proper production runs; and lead root cause investigations during equipment downtime.
• Preventative Maintenance & Compliance: Establish and maintain PM procedures per manufacturer specifications, ensure scheduled maintenance is completed on time, and uphold quality standards in compliance with QS9000 requirements.
• Leadership & Training: Provide direction during downtime situations, train new Maintenance Technicians on equipment and safety, identify training needs for Weld Technicians, and support the Assembly Technical Training program by leading classes and providing documentation.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Participate in project teams, coordinate with area maintenance planners to prioritize non-production tasks, interface with production supervision, manage vendor relationships, and provide feedback to supervisors for performance appraisals.

Position Requirements

• Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year experience and/or training; or Technical Apprenticeship with Certification or Journeyman Card; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Work Experience / Technical Training: Minimum 4 years of automated manufacturing technical experience required. Prior experience with Fanuc robots and Allen Bradley PLCs strongly preferred.

Pay Range

Pay range: $39.95 - $44.12 per hour
