Responsibilities
- Receive and log participant samples and clinical information.
- Maintain the sample database and lab notebooks following standard operating procedures.
- Isolate lymphocyte fractions from intestinal biopsy and peripheral blood samples.
- Perform cryopreservation/cryorecovery of isolated lymphocytes; cell culture; ex vivo immunoassays; and flow cytometric analysis of lymphocyte populations.
- Organize and compile results for presentation.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, physics or related science or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- High level of interest in biomedical research.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills; detail-oriented.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with basic molecular biology techniques.
Qualifications
- Prior experience with flow cytometry, cell sorting, tissue culture, and molecular biology.
- Experience in a Cell Biology/Immunology laboratory.
