About the role

The Patch Boys is seeking reliable individuals to assist with drywall repair and related tasks. Pay is $225 per day and materials are provided. You can handle up to 2 jobs per day, typically starting from Georgetown to South Austin.

Responsibilities

• Start as a 1099 contractor, potentially transitioning to an employee status based on performance.
• Work daily, handling tasks such as:
• Texture and refinish plaster services
• Install insulation and attach a plastic moisture barrier
• Fit and fasten wallboard or sheetrock into specified positions
• Measure and mark cutting lines on framing, drywall, and trim
• Remove plaster, drywall, or paneling
• Evaluate customer requests, price projects, troubleshoot issues, and present work orders to customers.
• Use a reliable truck/van capable of carrying up to two 4x8 panels of sheetrock.
• Provide proof of vehicle insurance.

Requirements

• Own a smartphone with GPS and a data plan.
• Have a minimum of 3 years of proven experience in drywall repair, including texture matching.
• Bring your own hand tools, compressor, hopper, ladder, and other necessary tools.
• Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
• Show exceptional customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to texture and refinish plaster services.
• Ability and willingness to work on new walls and ceilings, and repair existing walls.
• Ability to determine and clearly identify proper materials and material quantities for new and existing projects.

Skills

• Proficiency in using hand tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of drywall, plaster, and ceiling repair techniques.
