AutoPark Honda is seeking an A Technician to join their team and the Holman family.
Responsibilities
- Perform test drives, inspections, and other diagnostic tests on vehicles
- Identify mechanical problems visually and/or with computer diagnostic equipment
- Examine critical parts and systems using standard checklists and manufacturer guidelines
- Inspect internal systems and controls to ensure proper operation and compliance with state regulations
- Follow strategy-based diagnosis protocol to identify problems and determine necessary repairs or replacements
- Recommend needed repairs or maintenance on customer or company cars
- Repair or replace malfunctioning parts and systems such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, transmissions, and other mechanical components
- Complete preventative maintenance, including oil changes, fluid replacement, tire rotation, and brake replacement
- Perform assigned repairs to factory standards and dealership specifications
- Follow manufacturer and dealership repair procedures for all repairs
- Conduct post-repair testing and diagnostics to confirm proper operation and resolution of issues
- Accurately identify and list the conditions, cause, and remedy (“CCR”) on repair orders using correct grammar and professional language
- Ensure all paperwork is complete, accurate, legible, and finished in a timely fashion
- Continue developing additional technical skills to enable flexibility in work assignments
- Maintain knowledge of technical bulletins issued by the manufacturer and review applicable bulletins
- Obtain manufacturer training and/or ASE certification as determined by the Service Manager
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work area
- Properly maintain tools and equipment while following correct safety practices
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements
- Knowledge of vehicle/engine repair
- Possess a valid driver license
- Proficient with hand tools and diagnostic equipment
- Proficient with computer diagnostic equipment and software
- Ability to diagnose and repair vehicles while following safety instructions
Qualifications
Additional education, certifications, or related experience is generally preferred, including:
- ASE certification
- OEM certification
- Associate’s degree in auto maintenance and repair
