What you’ll do
- Install, commission, service and repair Aggreko generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or OFA systems.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures both on Major Projects and in service centers.
- Utilize mathematical formulas to calculate both nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements.
- Read and comprehend electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of, practice, and promote safe working conditions in accordance with OSHA, EPA and other required regulations dealing with safe operation of all equipment.
- Interface with a remote operations center to prevent failures, help design proactive notification to avoid failures and compliance.

Here's what you'll get
- A high school diploma/GED
- 4+ years' experience working on power generators, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs
- Electrical Generating System Association technician or other various certifications are a plus but not required.
- Knowledge using metering and instruments such as multi-meter’s, amp meters, and Hygrometers
- Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card, valid driver’s license
- Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.
Other essential job requirements
- Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts
- Must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices
- Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground / floor level to full overhead level
- Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and functionally grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders
- Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat
